Event to Give Books to Kids

The St. Croix Federation of Teachers, which is an affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), has partnered with First Book, the V.I. Department of Education, the Board of Education, the PTA, parents and student volunteers to continue hurricane recovery efforts by giving free books to children. All will join at the book giveaway to distribute the free, brand-new materials provided through the AFT and the First Book organization.  Books will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies last. Public, private and parochial students are elgible.   

At the event volunteers will distribute books, backpacks and supplies appropriate for kids from kindergarten through high school.
