St. John Film Society Presents “Gri Gri Project”

On Saturday, Feb. 15, at Bajo el Sol Gallery starting at 6 p.m. the Gri Gri Project, and the St. John Film Society will host a retrospective screening of a series of video art pieces by Virgin Islands multimedia artist Sigi Torinus.  

Bike Racing Starts Feb. 16

The Virgin Islands Cycling Federation will kick off its 2025 competitive season with a 9-mile time trial on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 7 a.m. The point-to-point course will begin at the Divi Hotel on St Croix's east end and finish at the entrance pillars to Ha'Penny Beach.

Waldemar Brodhurst – Wire Art/Crucian Stories Exhibit

Waldemar Brodhurst is an artist born and raised on St. Croix whose artwork is made from found and recycled materials. His subjects, human, animal and folkloric, are infused with their own unique vitality and self-expression.

Thompson and Dahlke Present Different Styles at Mango Tango Show

While W B Thompson has created his mixed-media exhibition here in St.Thomas, Don Dahlke, formerly of St. Croix and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico has created his oil-on-canvas paintings in Oregon. 

Artists “Sacré Bleu” Series at 81C

81C is honored to announce a full scale gallery exhibition of paintings with an exhibition celebration event taking place on Friday, Jan. 17 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at its downtown location on Strand Gade in historic Charlotte Amalie. The featured exhibition Sacré Bleu - Resolution Twenty Five showcases St. Thomas based artist W.B. Thompson. 

“Sessions on the Floor” Concert At Reichhold Jan. 31

Live performances will begin at 8 pm with local bands and solo artists including The Awesome Jamband, Lioness, Mic Love, and Eljhaie Brathwaite Project.

St. Thomas Waterfront Alight

Freedom Day Events

On Nov. 23 the Virgin Islands will honor Virgin Islands Freedom Day, a celebration that stitches together two acts of extraordinary courage: the 1733 St. John Rebellion and the 1892 Coal Workers’ Strike. Though separated by centuries and circumstances, both events are rooted in a shared refusal to accept injustice, a legacy of defiance that defines the Virgin Islands.
