Hyacinth Philip Charles, of Flamboyant Gardens, passed away on Feb. 22. She was 85 years old.

She was preceded by her mother, Mary Ann Philip; father, James Philip; sister, Gloria Hazlewood; brother, Reynold Browne; and daughter, Melinda Rawlins Charles.
She is survived by her children, Oswald “Ozzie” Thomas, Jr., Valencia “Tricia” Thomas, Tamara Charles, Yaisa Charles, Winston Charles, Jr., Christina “Scooby” Rawlins Henry, Collins, Clement “Neil”, Charmaine “Shamba” Rawlins; grandchildren, Akeibo and Dequan Bondieumaitre, Damani Pinder, Tyrique Guadalupe, N’Kosi and N’Koya Bermudez, Mekhi Brown, Keonde and Kaleigha Henry, J’Shaun and Neveah Charles, Shamelle Morton, Christopher Smith, Jr., Nelson Jorge Leonardo and LeSandra Guzman; great-grandchildren, Akeisha Bondieumaitre, T’Nylah Guadalupe and Tyrique Guadalupe, Jr., I’Lah Pinder; nephews, Trevor, Walcott, Leon and Anthony Hazlewood; godchild, Nathaniel “Jarique” Thomas; son-in-law, Kenya Henry; precious friends and other relatives too numerous to mention.
Funeral service will be held on March 13 at City of Refuge Worship Center. Viewing begins at 9 a.m, with service at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Kingshill Cemetery.
