V.I. Police Officers on Monday arrested Kevon Benjamin Edwards after a woman called 911 to report he had assaulted her.
According to the VIPD, at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, a woman whose name was not released by police reported she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Edwards.
The woman said her ex-boyfriend accused her of being unfaithful. They got into a verbal disagreement, the victim said, then Benjamin held his hand around her throat punched her in the face and damaged her cell phone.
On Monday, police made contact with the 18-year-old Edwards at the Ancilmo Marshall Command Station. Edwards was arrested and charged with second-degree assault/domestic violence.
He was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center pending his advice of rights hearing.
