Jahamon Bruce, 26, was arrested Tuesday on St. Croix on charges of unlawful sexual contact and child abuse stemming from a Dec. 9, 2021, incident, the V.I. Police Department reported.
A female reported to police that Bruce sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl. The subsequent investigation revealed multiple instances of inappropriate touching, according to the police report.
An arrest warrant was issued in November 2024, and Bruce turned himself in at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was furnished with a certified copy of the arrest warrant. He was placed under arrest without incident for unlawful sexual contact first-degree and child abuse, the police report stated.
He was booked and released on $1,000 bail, the report stated.
