Leo Winfield Jarvis

Leo Winfield Jarvis, also known as “Shenga,” of Estate Glynn died on Aug. 8.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Norma Jarvis; mother, Beatrice Thomas Jarvis; father, James Jarvis; and daughter, Gloria Jarvis.

He is survived by his daughters: Marilyn Jarvis and Annetta Jarvis; sons: Michael Jarvis, James “Ted” Jarvis and Leon Jarvis; and grandchildren: YaJaira Walters, Makitah Tobierre, Maleikah and Makisha Williams, Jerome and Jaime Williams, Makeyah and Makeemah Jacobs, Rikki, Brianna and Sierra Jarvis, Alicia Jarvis, Shenequa and Shekera McFarlane.

He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Jarvis; brothers: Claxton Jarvis, Mikey Jarvis, Donald Jarvis and Peter Jarvis; special friends: Mrs. Yvonne Joseph, Gerald Henry and family; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.


The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, at St. John’s Anglican Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
