U.S. Virgin Islands gubernatorial candidate Soraya Diase Coffelt announced that Warren Mosler is no longer running for lieutenant governor, and she has already launched a search for a new running mate.
Coffelt made the following statement about this decision:
"I would like to thank Warren Mosler for his service to the Virgin Islands. In the past week, it has become clear that Warren and I have differing viewpoints on the role of the office of lieutenant governor, and while I respect Warren’s views, we simply disagree. Therefore, we came to a mutual conclusion that he will not serve as my running mate, and I have undertaken a search to find a replacement. I know Warren will continue to have a meaningful impact on the political discourse concerning the islands and I wish him the very best."
