Personnel Reminds Employees of Deadline to Complete CIGNA Information

All government employees are reminded of the Friday, Dec. 21 deadline to complete the Health Risk Assessment on CIGNA’s secure Web site: mycigna.com, in order to be eligible for four hours of administrative leave on Monday, Dec. 30, according to a press release issued on Monday by the Virgin Islands Division of Personnel.
Division of Personnel Director Kenneth L. Hermon said, “With the funds provided this year by CIGNA to incentivize employee participation, the first 1,000 employees to complete their health risk assessments with their biometric data on www.mycigna.com before Dec. 21 will be automatically entitled to a $25 gift card. The first 500 employees who go the extra step and also complete both of their free dental visits and have an eye exam in 2013 will receive an additional $50 gift card, plus have a chance to win one of 20 IPads.”
“These initiatives are designed to encourage employees to take advantage of CIGNA’s wellness programs and raise awareness of prevention, which can eventually lead to cost savings by reducing the amount of insurance premiums charged to employees, as well as reduced absenteeism, improved productivity but most importantly, healthier and longer lives,” he said.
Employees can contact their HR officers for more information or the Division of Personnel at 774-8588 on St. Thomas and 718-8588 on St. Croix.
