Training Scheduled for St. Croix PTA and PTSA Officers

The U.S. Virgin Islands Congress of Parents, Teachers, Students Association (USVI-PTSA) Inc. in conjunction with Education’s School-Community Relations office will conduct the 2012 Training Workshop for St. Croix’s PTA and PTSA officers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Eulalie Rivera Elementary School in Estate Grove Place.
“PTA and PTSA officers will receive information on how to make their organizations more effective, share ideas with fellow members, and return to their respective communities with a renewed energy to promote parental involvement and advocate on behalf of all children,” said Earline Edward, secretary of the USVI-PTSA. The benefits of National PTA affiliation and charter requirements will also be discussed during the training.
Refreshments will be served.
PTA/PTSA officers should register by Wednesday, Dec. 5. For registration information, contact Janet Brow, St. Croix School-Community Relations director at 773-1095, ext. 7094 or at jbrow2@stx.k12.vi, or Ms. Edward at 514-3336.
