Sevenminusseven Workshops Turn Trash Into Treasure

Sevenminusseven offers a workshop series entitled Turning Trash into Treasures. The workshops will be presented from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays in November at sevenminusseven (Warehouse behind Pueblo in Sub Base/Crown Bay). Explore creative reuse while creating fun and functional treasures.

Ignite the imagination and communicate the importance of a sustainable society with eco-craft creations. Participate in one or all of these free events to make earrings, necklaces, lanterns, watering cans, tree ornaments, etc., with found objects and recycled materials. Attendees should bring items they would like to use and/or share with the group (some objects and tools will be provided). Suggested items to watch for and bring are: old jewelry, old toys, wire, ribbon, zippers, buttons, key chains, scrap fabrics, laundry detergent bottles, old board games, etc.

sevenminusseven is a center for creative exchange and collaboration. As a collective, we offer an alternative venue for creative expression to the community of the Virgin Islands and abroad. By hosting unique and cutting edge events such as exhibits by international, national and local artists, it hopes to afford the community with enriching and stimulating experiences. Sevenminusseven is also active in engaging the youth with collaborative art projects and after-school programs. Join the group at 7 p.m. every Wednesday night for a free presentation of foreign, educational, documentary or avant-guard films.
