The 31st Annual Arts & Crafts Festival Rescheduled to July 16

Due to circumstances beyond its control, Arts Alive is changing the dates of its next Arts & Crafts Festival from Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 to one day only, Saturday, July 16. Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors to this annual Arts Alive Arts and Crafts Festival will have the opportunity to find unique hand crafted items, explore their own creativity, view dynamic performances, and listen to the sounds of local musicians. The one-day festival is held outdoors in a colorful, historic, Danish West Indian farm known as Tillett Gardens. The festival will feature works by local artisans, performances, demonstrations, and special interactive hands-on, artistic activities. Meals, snacks, and beverages will be available from Jack’s Restaurant. Admission is free.

Festival goers, artists, and musicians can also enjoy cupcakes from the Second Annual Arts Alive Bake-Off/Cupcake Challenge, taking place during the festival. Island bakers entering their cupcakes, will be judged on taste, texture, presentation and creativity. The grand prize will be $100 cash. The winner will be announced at noon and then the cupcakes will be on sale for $2 each to benefit Arts Alive. Persons wishing to enter the Cupcake Challenge should contact the Arts Alive office.
