Two More Arrested for 2009 Nightclub Murder

Police have arrested two more men in connection with a March 2009 shootout at Lexus nightlub on St. Thomas that left 28-year-old Phillip John George dead and two others wounded.
Jaleem Charles, 22, was arrested around 9:44 a.m. Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder, unauthorized use of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence and aiding and abetting. His bail has been set at $250,000.
Tahira Charles, 26, was arrested at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday and charged with reckless endangerment and weapons possession in connection with the incident. His bail was set at $75,000.
A third man, 22-year-old Richie Fontaine, was arrested months ago for the murder, but ended up being convicted of voluntary manslaughter when the case went to trial in April. At the time, prosecutors relied on surveillance camera footage shot at the club that night, arguing that Fontaine and two others were seen on videotape with guns in their hands, just minutes before a hailstorm of bullets sprayed Club Lexus.
A second man, local fisherman James C. King, was hit in the head while trying to the dodge bullets that came flying into the club. King survived the incident, but still has a bullet lodged in his head, which cannot be removed.
