Eugenia Monell Dead at 93

Eugenia MonellEugenia Monell, also known as "Gena," of Peter’s Rest died on March 30, at her residence. She was 93 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Marianela Monell, Juanita Monell Poblete and Carmen Monell Gomez; son, Jose Luis Monell; grandchildren: Graciela Soto, Maria Eugenia Soto, Aurora Poblete Finucane, Marizelle Poblete Salazar, Maribelle I. Poblete, Erika Gomez and Luis A. Gomez; great-grandchildren: Leocadio Camacho III, Pedro A. Santos, Jose O. Santos, Pedro A. Santos, Juan Luis, Ruby Melissa Encarnacion, Rodolfo Encarnacion, Ithamar Encarnacion, Jonathan C. Firnucane, Nicole Firnucane, Brandon Salaza, Ariela Salazar, Antonio Fulton Gomez and Gabriela Gomez; and 18 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Manuela Morales Farid; brothers: Adolfo Morales, Cheito Morales, Sico Morlaes, Benigno Morales, Juan Morales and Junior Morales; brother-in-law, Dr. Antonio Farid; sister-in-law, Nayda Morales; son-in-law, Dr. Jose F. Poblete; nieces: Pina Morales, Nydia Sanchez, Alida Zenon, Nonin Morales, Roselly Morales, Genevosa Rivera, Anacelia Morales, Teresita Morales and Ruth Morales; nephews: Jose Pichi Morales, Chequi Morales, Julio Morales, Robin Morales, Benigno Juni Morales and Rodolfo Morales Jr.; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
