Pistarckle Sets New Date for Roast of George Blackhall Fundraiser

The Roast of George Blackhall has been rescheduled to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, at Coral World’s Blue Water Terrace. Pistarckle Theater will hold a dinner and silent/live auction as part of a fundraising event, The Roast of George Blackhall. A longtime St. Thomas resident, entrepreneur and auctioneer, George Blackhall is one of the community’s most beloved and colorful characters. Given all those who would love a chance to roast Blackhall, Pistarckle hopes to have a tremendous turnout featuring a great diversity of people. Tickets are available at $75, $125 and $200. The event will include a champagne reception (everyone will get a free glass of champagne), ongoing silent/live auctions, a sit down dinner and entertainment, which will include fire dances throughout the evening, and, of course, many friendly toasts and roasts!

Even those who cannot attend are invited to purchase an advertisement that will be printed in the event booklet and distributed to all who attend the fundraiser. Purchasers may choose to use the space to insert their own roast of Blackhall or to simply promote a business. Proceeds will benefit Pistarckle Theater’s education program, a year-round program offering 11 weeks of summer camps, an annual island-wide Shakespeare Festival for all schools and a comprehensive after school program in theater training for children ages three and up.
For reservations, contact Nikki Emerich or Lisa Bryan at 775-7877. Those interested in purchasing a booklet advertisement, can download a form available on the homepage of our Web site: www.pistarckletheater.vi or call 775-7877.
