Lillian A. Newton died on June 20, at her residence. She was 96 years old.
She is survived by her nieces: Pearline Woodcock, Myrtle Xavier, Myrtle Burnett, Audrey Watson, Noleen Morris, Mollie Claxton, Lynnette Wilkes and Onette Webbe; nephews: Esmon Walters, Derek Mills, David Mills, Winston, Bernard, Norris and Moody Thompson, Leroy Webbe, and Trevor and Andy Maynard; nephews-in-law: Ronald L. Woodcock Sr., Billy Xavier, Bruce Watson; many great nieces and nephews; and many friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
A first viewing will take place from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 7, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, July 8, at Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Western Cemetery No. 1.
