Glass Recycling Is Imperative

Dear Source:
I know the amount of glass containers listed as used per person of local residents seems enormous, but David North we may be forgetting that we have a number of visitors that far outweighs the number of residents. Most of these visitors are thirsty, enjoying party time here, going to bars and restaurants – whether just visiting for the day on a cruise ship or staying for several days or weeks. I am not questioning Paul Devine's numbers, and needless to say, this makes the case for glass recycling imperative.
Recycled crushed glass can be used for many purposes locally without having to ship it abroad. I remember how much cleaner this island was when glass recycling was in effect; the small change paid out for bringing in the glass was an income for many individuals.
