Human Services Holds Meetings for Summer Camp Operators

Feb. 17, 2009 – The Department of Human Services, Office of Child Care and Regulatory Services will conduct summer-camp mass consultation meetings for those interested in operating summer programs. The meetings are slated for 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, March 12, at the Sugar Estate Head Start Center; and 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, March 13, at the District Court in Christiansted.
Camp licensure requirements will be explained by the Office of Child and Regulatory Services, Environmental Health, Fire Services, School Lunch, and the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
The deadline for submitting camp applications and registration forms is April 30. No late registrations or applications will be accepted.
