The Schneider Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Department and St. Andrews Church are soliciting donations of equipment that will help patients and community members who have special needs. Wheelchairs, walkers, and canes are being collected for distribution, and may be dropped off at the front entrance of the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The drive also is accepting donations of hospital beds, which will be collected separately. To schedule hospital bed donations, as well as donations of other equipment at a time other than the announced collection time, please call Ms. Barr at 776-8311, ext. 2024. All donated equipment will be distributed free of charge to those in need.
