Dear Source:
I was saddened to learn today of the passing of Norita Lee, a wonderful colleague and human being. I enjoyed reading the ever-so-true nice comments in The Source about Norita and her contributions to the Ad Club, the advertising community and the community at large. I want to add my tribute to Norita. What I recall is her genuine kindness towards and interest in her friends and colleagues. You couldn't have a conversation with Norita where she wasn't fully engaged and engaging, and interested in hearing what you had to say. It was always a pleasure to run into Norita at an Ad Club meeting or other function…you knew the conversation was always going to be interesting and fun.
Not a day goes by that I don't read the St. Thomas Source and miss my friends in the Virgin Islands. Today is especially a sad day. But through the sadness come many fond memories and stories. Norita made us smile, and I feel blessed to have had the honor of knowing her.
My condolences to Bruce and to her family, friends and our colleagues in the Virgin Islands advertising community.
