Brief: Governor Released from Hospital

July 3, 2006 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull was released Sunday from Schneider Regional Medical Center on St. Thomas after doctors found he had "low sodium and potassium levels in his system," according to St. Thomas-St. John Administrator James O'Bryan.
O'Bryan said Monday that Turnbull was taken to the hospital around 9 a.m. Sunday after complaining of "gastro-intestinal discomfort."
O'Bryan said that it was never a life-threatening situation and that the governor even did some business from his bed.
Turnbull was released around 4 p.m.
