Dear Source:
A great big thank you to the Source staff for doing some homework regarding the asking price of the V.I. Telephone Company, currently for sale by Jeffrey Prosser. Just the most basic research seems to say clearly that we, as customers to whom the payments will ultimately fall, had better watch out! This could easily be a very bad investment for the U.S. Virgin Islanders. Of course, these days, one need not even deal with Vitelco to have phone service, with all the mobile phone services available. The article didn't even mention the possibility that business could continue to drop for a land-based telephone provider. I think we should be VERY CAUTIOUS in taking on Jeffrey Prosser's bad debts.
