Resurfacing work will begin Monday on route 33, Crown Mountain Road. The project is part of the Department of Public Works resurfacing program. Work will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
During the resurfacing project the road will be one lane only going uphill. Traffic will be rerouted going downhill. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes while the work is under way.
The rerouting will begin at route 301, Estate Pearl Road. As work progresses, downhill traffic will be rerouted at the Old Mill intersection.
The work should be completed by Monday, March 15, according to Tyrone Martin, special assistant to the commissioner of Public Works.
If motorists must use the route uphill they should allow an extra twenty minutes for delays.
