Acting Fire Marshal Glenn Francis of the V.I. Fire Service advises the public that the ban on burning debris and bush is lifted. Residents having unexpired burn permits, but unable to use them due to the burn ban, will get time credited for the period of the burn ban. Persons who are burning must have in their possession the permit issued by the Fire Service.
Burning permits can be obtained at the Fire Prevention and Arson Investigation Office from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For additional information please call the Prevention Unit at 776-9676.
