March 25, 2002 The V.I. Water and Power Authority has scheduled an emergency gasket replacement on Water Distribution Tank No. 3 on St. Thomas beginning at 11 p.m. Monday, March 25, and ending at 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 26.
WAPA has scheduled this emergency repair, which requires pumping the water out of Tank No. 3, during the early morning hours to minimize inconvenience to customers. While the Authority is pumping the water out, water pressure may vary throughout the entire St. Thomas potable water distribution system, a release said.
The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience to customers.
