March 20, 2003 – The Estate Whim Plantation Museum will be the scene on March 30 of the first of this year's three scheduled Starving Artists Day and Farmers Market events.
More than 60 local exhibitors are expected to be on hand selling their wares from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The offerings will include arts and crafts items, Crucian food and drinks, and more. Throughout the day there also will be museum tours, games and other activities for children, storytelling and live music by such favorite local groups as Bennie Jacobs El and the Complex Combo and the Central High Jazz Band.
For those in need of fuel before they move on to the fun, breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to noon on the museum office porch.
Starving Artists Day is a 15-year tradition at the Whim Plantation. Admission is $4 for adults and free for children.
