So what's new! St. Croix, as beautiful as it may be, has been consistently known for it's "Local Criminals." I lived on St.Croix from 1971 until 1978 during what was then known as the "Fountain Valley Murders" as well as Brauhouse across from Hess when they gunned down 4 or 5 people over chump change and the only one not to get shot was in the men's room which was out behind the building(Thank God For that or he would have been Dead also). Even then the perpetrators were caught but legal technicalities got them off!
I think there were twenty something murders in one or two years between 71 and 72 if my memory serves me right which back then was a higher murder rate per capita then New York City since only 30,000 people resided on STX year round. I wish all the best of luck in America's Paradise but Florida's as scary as I need!!
