This Headline Looks a Little Different — and Here's Why

May 12, 2004 – There's a new look to your Source, as you have probably noticed.
For one thing, when you access www.visource.com, you get the comprehensive V.I. Source splash page that directs you to all three papers – St. Thomas Source, St. Croix Source and St. John Source.
And now each paper has its own splash page, where the top stories on the Local News pages and the latest headlines from throughout the papers are updated continuously, automatically as new material is posted.
Another difference is that the Source is changing from all-capitals headlines to what's known as an "upstyle" format of capitals and small letters – called "upper case and lower case" in the journalism business. This enhances readability and also allows for a bit more information to be included in the head.
You'll also note that the "What's New in the Source: The Inside Story" feature on the Local News pages has disappeared. With the splash pages providing continual updates on virtually all postings, that's where to check — at any time of the day or night — to see "what's new" in the various sections.
More changes are to come in the months ahead. We hope you like what you're seeing so far – and would, as always, appreciate your feedback.
