May 25, 2004 V. I. youths between the ages of 14 and 21 and "who are ready to make a difference in their lives" are invited by the Department of Labor to participate in GED classes or specialized training.
Commissioner Cecil R. Benjamin announced in a recent press release that the Department of Labor, Division of Training, Workforce Investment System, is offering a variety of programs.
The programs cover areas of training such as Life Skills Training, Entry Level Office Training and Agro-Tourism and Landscaping and others.
According to the press release, "This initiative provides the territorys employers with a viable pool of trained employees." and "Commissioner Benjamin would like to encourage all youths that fall within the specified age group to visit the Department and explore the career options that are available to them."
