June 28, 2005 – Inez Adams Encarnacion, better known as "Ms. Enez, Granny", passed away at age 92 on June 24 at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She had lived at #9F Hospital St., Gallows Bay, St. Croix. She was preceded in death by her husband Evaristo "Birin" Encarnacion.
She is survived by daughters: Claire Esannason, Aquita Bedford, Andrieta Francis, Lydia and Angelita Encarnacion, Maria "Tangeen" James, Carmen "Caca" Shervington, Augustina "Gus" Encarnacion and Maria "Dinah" Penn. She is also survived by sons: Rubio Esannason, Angel "Campai," Pedro "Belto" Guillermo "Gigi", and Idealfonso "Pancho" Encarnacion. Other survivors include her brother, Raymond Adams, brother-in-law, Antonio Encarnacion, 44 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the James Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Christiansted, at 11 a.m. with the viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Christiansted Cemetery.
