Patrick Kodran dies at 72

Patrick Kodran, 72, passed away in his home, on Dec. 22.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Michele Kodran; seven children, Jason, Jarrad and wife Heather P., Krista and husband Albert, Nicole, Aubrey, Marisa, Joel and wife Heather M.; 16 grandchildren, Zakiyya, Mahogany, Elijah, Hayden, Isaiah, Ihlan, Kayla, Keeana, Ja’Niya, Taeven, Nevaeh, Salvatore, Steven, Jadah, Jeremiah, Justice; 6 great grandchildren; sister Stella, mil Joanne Gilbert, many nieces and nephews, his very special furry buddy, Baxter, and a multitude of special friends too numerous to mention.
Pat was born in France, immigrated to the US as a young boy, and grew up in New Jersey, until moving to St. Croix in 1990, where he settled with his wife and children. He began rebuilding homes after Hurricane Hugo before eventually becoming part of the Rooftops family, where he spent the better part of the next 25 years.
Patrick served as a Ministerial Servant in the Christiansted English congregation for many years and all who knew him knew of his love for and faith in Jehovah God. Being one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the past 51 years was at the core of the person he strived to be each day. He took great pride in his family and his work, which like all things in his life, he approached with honesty and integrity. Quick to lend a hand, an ear, or advice and guidance, Pat was often the go to guy, whether you needed help building your home, or guidance on keeping your home and family firmly grounded. Pat was a pillar of his community and the cornerstone of his family, and his absence will be felt by many, many people. Few and far between are those who had the opportunity to interact with Pat, and in some small measure, did not walk away just a little bit better for it.
A service will be held at 23 & 23C Carlton, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in
Frederiksted, on Friday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m.
For those who wish to attend but can not do so in person, the service will also be held via Zoom. ID 221 857 4230, PW 457100. All are welcome and please feel free to wear bright colors.
