The Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) Division of Special Education, in collaboration with the VIDE Division of School and Community Relations, will host a Summer Parent Empowerment Retreat entitled “Reset, Recenter, Recharge.” The three-day retreat will be held from June 20 through 22 at the Carambola Beach Resort on St. Croix.
The event is open to parents and legal guardians of children with disabilities receiving services through the VIDE Division of Special Education in the St. Croix School District.
The retreat will focus on providing a safe space for parents and legal guardians to share their stories, participate in informative workshops, build support systems, encourage community networking, and practice wellness and self-care.
