The Department of Public Works (DPW) advises the community of a road closure on the Melvin Evans Highway scheduled for this week. The closure, which will take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., Thursday, May 30, to Friday, May 31, will allow the department to complete roadside maintenance along the highway and median.
The clearing/maintenance schedule is as follows:
Thursday, May 30 — Estate Profit to Clifton Hill Intersection.
Friday, May 31 — Clifton Hill Intersection to Sunny Isle Intersection
The eastbound lanes in the respective area of the highway will be closed while work is in progress. Flaggers will be on-site to aid motorists as they traverse through the area. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes while work is in progress.
