VIHFA Notice of Public Hearings

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) announces that a series of public hearings has been scheduled to present projects which are being considered for funding from the Fiscal Year 2024 CDBG grant allocation.  VIHFA serves as the administering agency for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

Pursuant to the Citizen Participation Plan as approved by HUD, the U.S. Virgin Islands is required to seek public input relative to the needs of the Territory with regards to housing, homelessness, and community development, the funding priorities which should be established and the selection of activities to be funded.

The public hearings have been scheduled as follows:

St. Thomas:    Tuesday, May 7, 2024            UVI 13D Innovation Center                                    6:00 PM
                                                                      (Formerly West Bay Supermarket)

St. John:          Wednesday, May 8, 2024      Cleone H. Creque Legislative Conference Room    6:00 PM
                                                                       St. John Legislature Annex

St. Croix:        Thursday, May 9, 2024         Elections System of the Virgin Islands                     6:00 PM
                                                                     Sunny Isle Shopping Center

CDBG is pleased to return to in-person hearings for the 2024 cycle.   The public is urged to attend.
