Man Re-Arrested on Multiple Larceny Charges

On Tuesday, a St. Thomas man was re-arrested on additional charges from a previous crime in connection to stolen property of a local business, police say.

Chandler Heath, 31, was re-arrested on additional charges of conspiracy to commit larceny, grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretense, and embezzlement.

On Nov. 24, 2020, the Economic Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into a reported grand larceny. The investigation revealed that Heath unlawfully took possession of and re-sold property belonging to Storage on Site, LLC.

On March 1, 2021, Heath was arrested and was charged with grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretense, and embezzlement.

Bail was set at $35,000. Heath was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing scheduled for Wednesday at the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
