The Crucian Christmas Carnival/Festival Village Retrospective: A Look Back in Visuals

Call it what you will, the Crucian Christmas Carnival/Festival Village has been an important part of the holiday festivities since about 1957. The Village has honored someone each year who has made significant contributions to the entire Festival.

Events over the years have included a big Opening Night, Cultural night, Latin night, Reggae Night, J’ouvert Breakfast, Band Competition, Children’s Fun Day and more. Music by X-Press Band, Blinky, the Roadmasters, Stanley, and the Ten Sleepless Knights filled the air.

The children and their joy and wonder have made the Village and the entire season special. Look at the pictures, which are only a small portion of the food, games, rides, and entertainment provided. Look closely at the children’s faces and remember what this season can mean.
