Police Seek Suspect in Attempted Murder and Rape

The V.I. Police Department on Friday sought the community’s assistance in locating 36-year-old Jediah Lockhart, who is suspected in an attempted murder, first-degree rape and third-degree burglary.

In a news release issued Friday afternoon, the police described Lockhart as a Black male standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 139 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a dark complexion – is known to frequent the Castle Burke and Catherine’s Rest areas, Klub Karma and Tipsy Iguana establishments.

The police report did not provide any information about the alleged crimes.

Police urged anyone who has seen Lockhart or who knows his whereabouts to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
