Ten days after prohibiting fuel deliveries to three One Love service stations for lack of permits and licenses, the Department of Planning and Natural Resources has lifted the prohibition.
The three stations, owned by the family of Sen. Novelle Francis, are:
– One Love Golden Rock Service Station, 1C Orange Grove;
– One Love Princess Service Station, 36 EF La Grande Princess; and
– One Love West Service Station, 33-B Hannah’s Rest.
According to a statement from DPNR, the owners of the One Love Service Stations have obtained and submitted the required permits and certification and has paid all fines and penalties, thus satisfying DPNR’s corrective order.
“These regulations are designed to protect the public,” said DPNR Commissioner Jean-Pierre Oriol. “I commend the owners of One Love Service Stations for their quick action to resolve this and that moving forward they continue to properly manage their tanks to reduce any risks to their customers and community.”
In related news, DPNR recently issued a similar order impacting Giant gas station on St. Thomas.
