Federal Government Awards $6M in Grants to V.I. Department of Health

Delegate to Congress Stacey E. Plaskett released the following statement announcing that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded the Virgin Islands Department of Health a grant for $6,112,700 for health services:

“I am happy to announce that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded these funds to the V.I. Department of Health for the V.I. Epidemiology Lab Program.

“This funding is critical for continuing maintenance and improvements in the epidemiological and laboratory capacity in our territory. This grant will provide resources to help our Department of Health in continuing to execute their public health mission.”
