Public Notice: Department of Health Needs Public’s Input

U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health

The Department of Health’s Division of Chronic Disease and Prevention values the Virgin Islands community’s input and would like to hear what people have to say about the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant work plan and the revision of that work plan. DOH needs all interested persons to provide feedback on its proposed objectives and program activities.

The Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant funding is allotted to the territory from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to address the conditions of heart disease and stroke. It also provides funds for education and awareness activities targeting the prevention of rape and sexual assault. The work plan was developed with the goal of improving the health and well-being of our residents while addressing the requirements of the grant.

The V.I. Department of Health’s Division of Chronic Disease and Prevention wants to hear from the public. Please get involved and ask others to get involved by contacting Kathleen Arnold, RN, MPH, territorial director of Chronic Disease, at 277-7609 or kathleen.arnoldlewis@doh.vi.gov.
