The family of Felix Lucas Llanos, also known as “Capt.” or “Felo,” wishes to announce his passing on Saturday, July 11.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Felix Llanos Rivera and Eulogia Amada “Linda” Encarnación Llanos; and brother, Rafael Llanos Sr.
Felix was a family man and loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very deeply. He was extremely close to his brothers, several cousins and long-time friends whom he cherished, and he loved all his nieces and nephews like they were his own children. Capt., as he was affectionately called, was a lifelong musician and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Felix is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cleone R. Llanos; daughters: Maria Teresa “Terry” Logan, Laura Denise “Dee Dee” Llanos and Lizette Alicia “Liz” Llanos Popo; son, Felix André “Andy” Llanos; sons-in-law: Bishop E. Eugene “Gene” Logan and Tadius “Ras Popo” Popo; grandchildren: Ronald A. James (wife, Kimisha), Cassandra R. “Cassie” Washington, Israel M., Caleb N. and Ta’Liyah A. “Ari” Popo; great-grandchildren: Antonio, Amaya, Aaron and Jayden; brothers: Luis S. Llanos Sr., and Ignacio A. “Man-D” Llanos Sr.; brother-in-law, Peter Williams Sr.; sisters-in-law: Joycelyn B. Llanos, Rhynita Llanos, Norma P. Llanos, Pauline Williams and Jennifer Williams; nieces: Monique and Maurecia “Zulie” Llanos, Linda, Michelle and Monique Hendricks, Angela “Angie” Andrews, Liisa Cohen, Sherrie-Ann Pastor, Claudette, Denise, Donna and Savelle Williams, and Cherie Williams-Robinson; and special niece and goddaughter, Elaine “Pinky” Llanos-Schuster.
He is also survived by nephews: Rafael “Rafie” Jr., Ignacio “Cito” Jr., Robert “Bobby” Sr., Luis “Luisito” Jr., Ray, Eric “Ricky,” and Miguel Llanos, Aaron Brady, Juan “Tony” Hendricks, Edward “Eddie,” Lionel, Dean, Peter “Petey” Jr. and Orion “Orie” Williams; godsons: Charles “Ras Iba” Encarnación and Te’Quan Richards; and family friends regarded as his children: Lana “Peppy” Lopez, Tricia Johnson and Dwight Charles.
He is also survived by special cousins and friends too numerous to mention to include Carlos “Carlito” Cristobal “Machin,” José P., Luis “Negro,” Rudy, Guillermo “Gigi,” Angél “Compai,” Roberto “Beco,” Willie, Justa “Tita,” Aurora and family and Purun Encarnación, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Felix, Linda Radix, Zoraida Schuster, Lucy La Motta-Krigger and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Julio Rijos, Dorothy Bolling, Juan “Tony” Hendricks Sr., Gerda Norfleet, Lucy and Lisa Rose Bough, Suzie Bough and family, Larry Sylvester, Mr. and Mrs. Mario Golden, Mr. and Mrs. Delzin “Sox” Johnson, Malcolm Evans, Alvin Canton, Tommy Reynolds.

The viewing will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, July 27, at James Funeral Home. The funeral and interment will take place on Tuesday, July 28, beginning promptly at 10 a.m. at Kingshill Cemetery.
