Valentine’s Day V.I. Weather Update: Isolated Showers

One or two isolated showers should continue to move over the Caribbean waters and over portions of the islands through the morning hours. Prevailing east to southeast winds will be noted and limited shower activity is expected across the territory during the next few days. An upper level trough may increase shower activity on Saturday.

Seas should average six feet with east to southeast winds between 15-20 knots (17-23 miles per hour) through at least Friday. Hazardous seas to seven feet are expected to continue today across the offshore Atlantic waters and a Small Craft Advisory is in effect. There is a moderate risk of rip currents across St. Croix and St. Thomas, and along the southern beaches of St. John.
