The family of Lena Maria Peters is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Feb. 11 at the Juan Luis Hospital, St. Croix, at the age of 95.
Lena was born in Dominica, West Indies, in the village of Pointe Michel and has lived a long and healthy life. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children: Convanancio and Silvino Alexander, Shirley Activille, and Hassette, Mary, Myrl, Trevor and Cleveland Telemaque; son-in-law, Benedict Phillip; 32 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 9 a.m. on Feb. 21, at the Divine Family Funeral Home in Peter’s Rest. No interment.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 5K La Grande Princesse, afterwards.
