Ira Sinrick David Dies

Ira Sinrick David died on Nov. 22.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Constantia “Bessie” Clarke, Archie David, Jerome, Wilders and Albert David; and niece, Linda David.

He is survived by his spouse, Helena David; sons: Tyrone, Rasheed, Hasheem and Tyrell David; stepdaughters: Irma Francis, Kathleen Williams and Letticia Williams-Fortt; son-in-law, John Fortt; grandchildren: Saheima, Jahliyah, Ava David, Camisha Francis, Terell, Brianna, Aliyah, Laviner, Imani, Anisa and Olivia Fortt; great-grandchildren: Renee and Ramir Crenshaw; sibling, Simeon David; cousin: David Sweeney; nieces: Lorna, Bessy, Edris David, Naomi Clarke-Thomas and Lorelie Clarke; and nephews: Elroy, David, Sidney (Anthony) and Roger Clarke.

He is also survived by great nieces: Naeema Sandy, Danah-Marie Clarke, Ja’Lyssia Henrillien, El’Lisa, N’Yema and Teresa Clarke; great nephews: David Clarke Jr., Jason Clarke, Gyasi Clarke, Ervin Bonnit, Quadeem, Roger “Cholo” Jr., Silas, Eaven and Giovani Clarke; great-grandnephew: Ni’Kai D.J. Daniel; sisters-in-law: Octavie Latang (N.Y.), Marion Stuart(Conn.), Cecelia Gregore (Martinique) and Crecencia (DA); brother-in-law, John Henry; nieces-in-law: Carmen McAlpin-Clarke & Sonya Martin-Clarke; and nephews-in-law: Leon “Malcolm” Thomas and Aloysius “Nick” Henrillien.

Other survivors include close friends: Theodore and Monica Walters, Oral “T” Pemberton, Clifford, Jerome Tyson, Eddy Powell, Edris Weekes, Edred “Sugga’ Stanley, Agatha Modeste, Myra Wilkenson, Juliet Abraham, Mr. and Mrs. Melrose Joseph, Mr. and Mrs. Fitzroy Francis, Marcelle Santos, Rachel Joseph, Jeramy Newton, Mortimer Alexander, Rodney Moorehead, Denise “Perry” Davis, Janice O’Reilly, Cicely Joseph, the Clarke family, the David family, Larrah Roberts, the Pearl B. Larsen Elementary School family, the Department of Education family, the Curriculum Center family and Profit Hill/Bethlehem Village Community family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel.

A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Central Seventh-day Adventist, 17- A Estate Plessen. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
