The Entrepreneur Business Institute (EBI) Summer Program’s Closing Ceremony took place at 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, at the UVI in the Administration and Conference Center.
30 students selected from all public and private high schools throughout the territory officially completed the three-week EBI program where they experienced an intensive curriculum focused on business innovation and entrepreneurship, formulated business plans, attended business-related field trips and received mentorship from key University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) professors, as well as many successful entrepreneurs throughout the territory.
In addition to the business offerings, the students participated in an annual Community Service Day where they served as expert tour guides, mentors and buddies to children from Camp Shriver, participated in an etiquette training luncheon and visited several local businesses and agencies during the program.
Sponsored by International Capital and Management Company in partnership with the UVI School of Business, the 30 students received their awards and certificates in the company of family and friends as they showcased their accomplishments achieved through the program.
