Lt. Gov. Osbert Potter has tapped Gwendolyn Hall Brady to serve as the new director of Banking and Insurance, according to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Banking and Insurance are under the oversight of the lieutenant governor.
Brady has more than 30 years combined experience in criminal justice planning; crime prevention; housing finance; banking and insurance; banking compliance; and researching, drafting and monitoring proposed legislation, according to a statement from the Potter’s office.
Brady most recently served as legislative director and chief researcher for Sen. Craig Barshinger and the Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection in the 30th Legislature. She served similarly for Sen. Usie Richards and the Committee on Rules and the Judiciary in the 29th Legislature.
