Christian E. Thompson, also known as "Te," of Mahogany Welcome died on April 25. He was 68 years old.
He is survived by his adopted daughter, Monique Carroll; godson, Amari Patrick; sisters: Thyra A. Timothy and Eleanor Thompson; adopted sister, Luz Armstrong; brothers: James Thompson and Maynel Thompson; nieces: Sherryanne Simon, Diane Cornelius, Juanita E. Roebuck, Jennifer Roebuck, Winifred Timothy, Alexis Middleton, Arlene Thompson and Summer Harris; nephews: Roland Parris, Earl and Elroy Roebuck, Herman Jr. and Howard Thompson, Maynel Thompson Jr., Norris Jr. and Anthony Harris; and great nieces: Tiyanah Dow, Chelsea Cornelius, Tawana Young, Tameka and Taneka Roebuck, Roanna, Ranoi, Shekila and Sherifa Parris, and Akeela Thompson.
He is also survived by his great nephews: Eric and John Crump, Aaron Lang, Omary Ovesen, Jalani Williams, Shakeel Thompson, Akeem andAmalee Thompson, and Ian Garvey; special friends: Stanley and The Ten Sleepless Knights, Stop & Save family, Butch Simon, Jackie Sobacker, Donald Francis, Laticia Felix, Carmen McAlpin-Clarke, Julyan Mintas, Floretta Nesbitt, Annette O’Neal and family, Goust Encarnacion, Dulcie Boston, Larry Jacobs, Charles Capehart, Tony McAlpin and Helen Joseph; cousins and other relatives: Kwame, Innocencio, Juan and Felipe Garcia, Juanita G. A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 6, at St. John’s Anglican Church, Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
