Residential Fire Termed 'Suspicious'

The V.I. Police Department and the VI Fire Services are investigating a residential fire that appears suspicious, according to officials.

At about 11:09 a.m. Thursday 911 dispatchers received a report of a house fire at 31A Estate St. Georges in Frederiksted. Fire units and police responded to the blaze.

Neither the police report nor the 911 dispatch blotter do not indicate the extent of the damage to the structure, nor what led officials to question the cause.

Investigation into this structural fire is ongoing, according to the police news release.
