The Learn-It Summer Enrichment Program will be conducted in the district from Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 29. “This year we plan to have the Learn-It program at all 10 elementary schools and the three junior high schools. The program is expected to serve about 1,250 elementary and junior high school students,” said St. Croix Superintendent Gary Molloy.
Learn-Itwill offer lessons to students in reading, mathematics and enrichment activities such as sports, arts & crafts, music, and ecological and cultural field trips. The enrichment program will also utilize scholastic materials in rocketry, robotics, athletics and literacy. Students are being selected for the program based upon their ITBS/VITALS results in reading and mathematics.
Transportation for participating students will be provided to and from their respective schools by the Abramson Bus Company. Lunch and snacks will be served courtesy of the federal Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
