James Emanuel Hendricks, also known as “Majowe” or “Pork is Pork,” of Estate Whim died on July 13, at his residence. He was 90 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Maria A. Belle, Annette M. Hendricks, Anna P. Simmons, Edith A. Figueroa and Shanice Y. Hendricks; sons: Alphonso Johannes, Peter E., Ohenio E., Alfred E., George E. and Shawn A. Hendricks; sister: Marion M. Hendricks Smith; and grandchildren: Ann Marie Wong, Nazeema Augustin, Dewayne Hendricks, Natalie Correa, Thomas IV, Michael, Michelle and Thaleiya Figueroa, Gregory Marcus Jr., Genavia Simmons, Sarah Hendricks, Rena and Rene Johannes. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; five adopted grandchildren; sons-in-law: Daryl Simmons and Thomas Figueroa III; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. and a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 22, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
