St. Croix Has Been Fighting for the Environment

Dear Source:
Irmelda Neumann has obviously never been to all the Virgin Islands. St. Croix has been fighting valiantly since the eighties for sustainable development that does not compromise the environment.
With the exception of Carambola and Buccaneer Hotels, which are beautifully set into the land, our coastlines are dotted with gems of small hotels that compliment the beautiful shores where the beaches are always open for public use.
Presently, we have three huge hotel and casino projects trying to come in but we are holding their feet to the fire and making sure that CZM and other regulatory agencies are doing their jobs before they get the "go" sign.
The last thing St. Croix wants is to become another St. Thomas.
